In the town of Liberty Grove, the 4th of July was the biggest celebration of the year. People came from all around to enjoy the parade, fireworks, and music. But this year, something special was happeningβyoung Ella was going to dress up as the Statue of Liberty! π½π
Ella loved history and had always admired the Statue of Liberty. She had read books about it and watched videos about how it came all the way from France. When she told her parents she wanted to be Lady Liberty for the town parade, they helped her make a costume with a green dress, a crown with 7 spikes, and even a paper torch that glowed with a tiny light. π¦ππ
On the morning of July 4th, Ella put on her costume and stood tall in front of the mirror. "I feel like a real statue!" she laughed. Her little brother clapped and said, "You're the best Liberty ever!" π₯°πΈ
At the parade, people cheered when they saw her. She waved her torch and smiled proudly. Some people even asked to take pictures with her. "You look just like the real thing!" one woman said. Ella felt proud and happy to represent such an important symbol. πΊπΈπ·
After the parade, Ella joined her family for a picnic in the park. While they munched on hot dogs and watermelon, her dad told her how the real statue was a gift of friendship and freedom. "And today," he said, "you reminded everyone how special that is." ππβ€οΈ
As the sky grew dark, the fireworks began. Bright bursts of red, white, and blue filled the sky. Ella sat on her blanket, her crown still on her head, and whispered, "Happy birthday, America." ππ
That night, Ella dreamed of visiting the real Statue of Liberty one day. She imagined climbing all the steps to the top and looking out at the world. In her dream, the statue winked at her and said, "Well done, young Liberty." β¨π½π
And from that day on, everyone in Liberty Grove remembered the year when a brave little girl lit up the town with her torch of joy and her smile full of pride. π₯π
